During college I led outings for San Diego State University Students. This was one of many trips to places like the Colorado River canoeing, snorkling at Catalina Island, Rock Climbing, X-Country Skiing, etc.

Cycling down the California Coast
My dad was a big-time cyclist. We did many cycle tours and even watched the Tour 'd France in the French Pyrenees. I've cycled down the coast from Canada to Mexico and done dozens of centuries, and even a double century.
